In October 2011 a second defibrillator was purchased for siting at the Sports Field with training courses on its use being arranged for Shalbourne's footballers.
Community Air Horns
Rural communities like Shalbourne are purchasing air horns to use in the case of an emergency, to attract help from either neighbours or passers by.
They have been proved very useful and therefore the Shalbourne Community Fund is taking orders (they are £10 each) and arranging to demonstrate them working.
Anyone interested in buying one or seeing it demonstrated should contact Jane Woodroffe on 01672 870326 or e-mail: hillview123@btconnect.com
Wheelchair
We have purchased a new wheelchair for use by people in the local area and visiting family and friends. It is suitable for the young and elderly.
So if you suddenly need the temporary loan of a wheelchair 'phone Jane Woodroffe on 01672 870326 or e-mail: hillview123@btconnect.com
Donations welcome.

Our objectives
Constitutionally our objectives are:
· To relieve sickness and protect the health of people residing permanently or temporarily in the Parish of Shalbourne, by providing or assisting in the provision of equipment, facilities and services not normally provided by statutory authorities.
· To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to heart or respiratory ailments and mobility by providing lectures and publishing newsletters/pamphlets devoted to healthcare.
Where we are in December 2010
· We have purchased a defibrillator and contents and it is up and running. It is situated on the school wall and easily visible from the road.
· We have continuing first aid and defibrillator training for everyone.
· We are working hard towards purchasing and maintaining a second defibrillator for the sports field.
